Update 0.14 is here, and with a bunch of improvements to various subsystems as we move towards beta! Once we have full mission cutscenes and multiplayer functionality, we'll be in beta proper.
Drift King - Changelog:
- Yet more city area completed, with a few new jumps and fence colliders lowered!
- Some existing areas reworked for better mobility and more fun driving
- Improved chat, with full history accessible by pressing T
- Camera physics reworked, no longer is the focus point an unmoving point directly "up" from the car, it now tracks the angle of the ground beneath the car and stores that as "down"
- Burnouts! Hold accelerate+brake to start, and turn left or right to spin, the camera will follow closely!
- J-Turn camera - hold brake+handbrake to auto-set the camera to look behind, to prepare for a speedy J-turn
- First iteration of true traffic, cars now stop at certain intersections, and can yield to stopped cars (most of the time, still needs work)
- Car generation is now seeded, drivers will now have the same car every time (based on driver name)
- More variation in AI traffic, some don't follow traffic laws!
- Improved map screen, doesn't show parked or traffic cars anymore, just players and racers
- Gear selection improved, lower throttle will pick higher gears
- Driver feet no longer poke out the bottom of the Piccolo Compensatore
- Improved racer position checking in races
